Fabric sherpa, a high-grade natural fibre with great warmth, is loved for its softness, delicacy and warmth. Its production process undergoes a number of complex procedures
Firstly, the sheep used to produce lamb's wool must be of a specific breed of fine-wool sheep, such as Tibetan and Mongolian sheep, whose wool fibres are much finer and softer and are suitable for the production of lamb's wool. In the spring, when the wool grows the fastest, farmers regularly shear the sheep to ensure that the wool is pure and fine. The wool is then sent to a processing plant for treatment. The first step is sorting, where the wool is categorised according to the different textures of the different parts. Washing is carried out, where the wool is soaked in water and suitable detergents are added to wash away oils, grease and impurities. Next is the removal of impurities, whereby mechanical equipment removes residual debris, impurities, etc. from the surface of the wool. Finally, after fine weaving and processing, the wool fibres are made into a variety of lambswool products.
