Advantages of suede fabric

1. Suede belongs to the artificial fur of the nobility, which is no inferior to natural suede. The overall feel of the fabric is soft, and the overall weight of the fabric is light. Compared with the bulkiness of traditional fur, it really has advantages.

2. Suede has a strict gilding printing process in the textile process. The

fabric style is unique, and the designed ready-made clothes have a very good retro style.

3. Suede fabric is waterproof and breathable, which is comfortable to wear. This is mainly due to the island silk textile process, which can effectively control the overall shrinkage of the fabric, so that the fiber gap of the fabric is controlled between 0.2-10um, which is larger than the sweat vapor (0.1um) of the human body, and far smaller than the diameter of water droplets (100um – 200um), so it can achieve the effect of waterproof and breathable!

Types of suede fabric
productcate-150-100

Lambskin Suede

Suede made from lamb is incredibly soft. Lightweight and super luxurious, this fine-grain fabric has a fuzzy, soft texture reminiscent of silk. It’s thinner than leather, which makes the fabric great for clothing and shoes.

Cowhide Suede

Considered the roughest type of suede, cowhide makes great leather although a little rough. Calves make the better suede due to their youth.

Pigskin Suede

Better suited to work gloves, shoes, wallets, and purses, pigskin suede goes through a seeding process to produce the textile. It’s a bit stiff with a short nap.

Deer Suede

The most expensive of suede due to an incredibly difficult tanning process, deer suede is also the softest and strongest type of suede for footwear/apparel. The weave of the basic fiber keeps wearers cool in summer and warm in winter. This isn’t the case with other natural suede.

FAQ

Q: 1.What type of fabric is suede?

A: Suede is a type of leather made from the underside of the animal skin, giving it a soft surface. Suede is usually made from lambskin, but it is also made from other types of animals, including goats, pigs, calves, and deer. Suede is softer thinner, and not as strong as full-grain, traditional leather.

Q: 2.What is imitation suede?

A: Faux suede is a synthetic fabric typically 100% polyester made to resemble genuine suede that is produced from a cow hide. Microsuede is a lightweight faux suede made from micro denier fibers. Although different than real suede, faux suede fabric is much more durable, much less expensive and very easy to care for.

Q: 3.Is suede a good fabric?

A: Suede is usually treated as a luxury material; while it lacks the durability of normal leather, it is much softer to the touch and more comfortable when worn against the skin. Compared to normal leather, suede is far more permeable, which means it lacks the waterproofing benefits of leather.

Q: 4.Is suede better than cotton?

A: When compared to materials made of cotton, suede is an exceptionally long-lasting and resilient material. The thin nature of suede gives it a nice, delicate drape. Since suede is made of soft leather, it is easy to shape into coats, handbags, and other clothing and accessories.

Q: 5.Can suede get wet?

A: Yes, suede shoes can get wet and still be wearable, but in order to prevent damage, you need to to treat them quickly afterward, which can be time consuming. If you know it's going to rain, or you know you'll be at a place where your shoes may get wet, it's best to avoid wearing suede shoes entirely.

Q: 6.How long does suede last?

A: With some love and attention, your suede shoes should remain in prime condition for years to come.

Q: 7.Why do people wear suede?

A: Comfortable: Suede is a soft and supple material, which makes suede shoes comfortable to wear. The material can also conform to the shape of the foot, which can provide a more personalized fit. Durable: Despite its softness, suede is a durable material that can withstand everyday wear and tear.

Q: 8.What happens if suede gets wet?

A: Another common issue with wearing suede in the rain is the appearance of watermarks. These are dark spots that appear on the surface of the suede when it comes into contact with water. Water stains are difficult to remove and can permanently damage your shoes.

Q: 9.Can wet suede be saved?

A: If you got your suede shoes wet, this is the process you should carry first. You should first blot them dry with a microfiber towel. Then, apply a suede waterproofing spray to restore their protective barrier and prevent moisture-related damage and stains.

Q: 10.Can you wash imitation suede?

A: Although most faux suede is machine washable, it's important to check your garment's care labels before putting it in the washing machine. If the label is missing or difficult to read, always handwash your garment with a gentle detergent and lay it flat to dry to be on the safe side
