What is Stretch Velvet fabric
Stretch velvet fabric is a 4-way stretch fabric with a smooth back and textured polyester velvet front. This fabric is extremely soft with a beautiful sheen. This is a medium weight fabric of 240 gsm (approx.) with a 96% polyester 4% spandex content and 58/60" width. The polyester content makes it ideal for washing. Stretch velvet is great for apparel, costumes, dance wear, decorations and more. The velvet has a soft texture and drapes very well with hemmed edges. Its wide width also makes it an ideal fabric for wide-width crafts and apparel projects. In addition, with its 240 gsm weight, this fabric is manufactured to be of higher quality compared to many other stretch velvets sold in the market.
